Within your own body there lies the power to heal and regenerate collagen in your skin. It’s all from your own blood, so there is no risk for infection or allergic reaction! Growth factors in the platelets from your blood stimulate a stem cell response, which repairs and regenerates damaged skin, improves the appearance of scars, stimulate hair growth, and slows & reverses the signs of aging.

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) is harvested by taking your existing blood, spin it in a centrifuge at high speed to separate the platelets from the rest of your blood. The platelets are packed with healing properties that can assist stem cells to trigger reproduction. The two growth factors FGF and PDGF, promote cell growth, tissue repair and the production of new collagen. In the past, PRP injections have been used for years in sports medicine to help athletes heal faster from injury. At Peaches and Cream Med Spa we couple PRP with Dermapen, restoring the PRP into the skin tissue during the micro-needling procedure, so our patients receive much more enhanced results from the PRP technology, resulting a much faster healing and better collagen growth, creating a much richer, smoother looking skin.

PRP is a therapy that’s been widely used to treat all sorts of conditions such as musculoskeletal injuries (including tendinitis and nerve injuries). But PRP has been most popularized for its positive effects in hair restoration and facial rejuvenation. The platelets are packed with healing properties and assist stem cells to trigger reproduction. Schedule consultation online or call Peaches and Cream Med Spa today to schedule your appointment to find our if you are a good candidate for PRP and Dermapen.
What is Platelet- Rich Plasma?
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is blood plasma that has been enriched with platelets. Platelets contain growth factors; when applied to the skin, they can stimulate the growth of collagen. Collagen plumps the skin, giving it a youthful and supple appearance. PRP for facial rejuvenation can be used with wrinkles and areas around the eyes, mouth, cheeks, neck, and jawline, and hair growth.

What is Platelet-Rich Plasma Fibrin Matrix (PRFM)?
The next generation of PRP, produces ultra-pure PRP using a fibrin matrix which serves to protect and preserve the platelets. Ultra Pure PRFM also known as the Liquid Gold for facial rejuvenation. Experience the power of platelets with cell growth, new generation and repair of blood vessels, and collagen production.

What can PRFM be used for?

Powerful wrinkle removal: PRFM is enriched with variety of growth factors, injected into the superficial dermis, can effectively stimulate collagen to achieve smoothening of the skin, removing forehead wrinkles, crow's feet, fine lines around the eyes, nasolabial folds, lip lines, neck lines.

Scar fillers: When injected into the skin, PRFM powerful growth factors will promote tissue regeneration, to fill the acne scars or any depressed scars, but also can be used to fill the loss of lip tissue

Optimize the skin: active factors can accelerate and promote the establishment of skin microcirculation, thereby accelerating metabolism, improve the overall quality and color, give the original blemished skin a lighter complexion and a a healthy glow; it can also improve bags under the eyes and dark circles

Deep anti-aging: PRFM can promote the growth skin tissue to achieve a comprehensive upgrade of the skin condition and continue to delay the aging process

Skin lightening: to improve skin metabolism and effectively improve pigmentation, melasma and other discoloration

Safety and Allergy: Continued use of PRFM for treatment will alter the original stress response system of the skin and improve the sensitivity of the skin

What to expect during your PRP or PRFM treatment?

During a short office visit, a small amount of your own blood is drawn into a vacuum collection tube containing a cell separator gel. The tube is then placed into a centrifuge and spun for six minutes to separate the blood into a supernatant plasma/platelet suspension. The red and white blood cells are located below the cell separator gel, creating ULTRA-PURE PRP. The platelets and plasma are then transferred in a closed system to a second vacuum tube containing a small amount of calcium chloride solution which forms the fiber matrix of PRFM. Once your genetically-specialized PRFM solution has been created, it is ready to be applied to skin with Dermapen. This micro-needling makes tiny “wounds” in the skin which accept the PRP serum and begins the process of collagen creation along with the tissue enhancement from growth factors found in the plasma serum.

Is there downtime associated with the PRP or PRFM Facial treatments?
There is little to no downtime after the treatments. You can expect slight redness and sensitivity for about 24 to 48 hours after the treatment.

Is the treatment painful?
A topical numbing medication can be applied prior to treatment to reduce discomfort. Most patients find the treatment slightly uncomfortable, but tolerable.

How many treatments are required for the best result?

We recommend a minimum of 3 treatments, once every 4 weeks to achieve optimal results. PRFM treatments offer the most dramatic result with quarterly maintenance. We offer package specials to provide the affordable optimal result.
Taking this one step further, the left over PRP from your PRP micro-needling session can be combined with a calcium chloride to cause fibrin polymerization, forming a filler-like gel or PRFM (Platelet Rich Fibrin Matrix). By using your body's platelet rich plasma (PRP), Wang Plastic Surgery can create a personalized and truly organic filler product (PRFM) that can be injected into areas of collagen loss such as the cheeks, temples, nasolabial folds or smile lines, lips, and even into the backs of the hands. This truly is a natural filler! This can also be performed in isolation without micro-needling, if desired.
